Brightpoint Receives Grant to Strengthen Health Coverage Assistance Program

February 9, 2026 | Fort Wayne, IndianaThe St. Joseph Community Health Foundation has awarded Brightpoint a $5,000 grant to support its Health Coverage Assistance program, also known as Covering Kids & Families (CKF). This funding will help Brightpoint continue expanding access to healthcare coverage for uninsured and underinsured individuals across northeast Indiana.

Brightpoint’s CKF program offers free, confidential, one‑on‑one assistance to help families navigate and enroll in state and federally sponsored health coverage programs. Certified Healthcare Navigators guide consumers through the application process, explain options, and help them maintain coverage throughout the year.

“Covering Kids and Families of Brightpoint is very grateful for the support of the St. Joseph Community Health Foundation,” says Pam Brookshire, Vice President of Community Services for Brightpoint. “By keeping families and individuals insured, one economic burden is alleviated so others like housing, utilities, childcare, etc. may be maintained.”

This grant will support education and enrollment assistance, helping families better understand their coverage options and access essential healthcare services.
