In 2022-2023, Brightpoint helped 8,496 families with their utility bills. Eligible households receive the EAP benefit one time per heating season. The program runs through May 20, 2024, <strong>or until funds run out<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For households who have received a disconnect notice or whose utilities are already disconnected, please complete the EAP application, and reach out to your utility companies, your township trustee and\/or United Way\u2019s 2-1-1. Applications are available in person at any of Brightpoint\u2019s offices in the EAP service area or online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mybrightpoint.org\/eap\">www.mybrightpoint.org\/eap<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible, applicants must meet the following income levels:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One-person household \u2013 No more than $2,479 monthly.<\/li>\n<li>Two-person household \u2013 No more than $3,242 monthly.<\/li>\n<li>Three-person household \u2013 No more than $4,005 monthly.<\/li>\n<li>Four-person household \u2013 No more than $4,768 monthly.<\/li>\n<li>Five-person household \u2013 No more than $5,531 monthly.<\/li>\n<li>Six-person household \u2013 No more than $6,294 monthly.<\/li>\n<li>Seven-person household \u2013 No more than $6,437 monthly.<\/li>\n<li>Eight-person household \u2013 No more than $6,580 monthly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following documentation is required and must be brought with applicants at the time of their appointment or submitted with the application:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The State-issued photo ID for the applicant. Photo IDs are not required for other household members.<\/li>\n<li>The completed application with all questions answered and the last page signed and dated.<\/li>\n<li>Copies of Social Security cards for all household members one year or older.<\/li>\n<li>A copy of proof of income received in the last 3 full calendar months for each household member age 18 or over.<\/li>\n<li>If you paid child support, please send proof of child support payments.<\/li>\n<li>A copy of your most current heating bill and electric bill.<\/li>\n<li>If your utilities are included in your rent, you must submit a Landlord Affidavit completed by your landlord.<\/li>\n<li>Households claiming Veteran status must provide a DD-214 or Veteran\u2019s Administration Identification card.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For questions about Brightpoint\u2019s EAP program, individuals should refer to the website, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mybrightpoint.org\/eap\">www.mybrightpoint.org\/eap<\/a>, or call (260) 423-3546 or 1-800-589-3506. Applicants should keep in mind that Brightpoint\u2019s offices are extremely busy during this time of year and calls and applications are being handled as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Brightpoint is a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving more than 43,000 people across northeast Indiana.
